Code of the Jedi

There is no emotion. There is peace. There is no ignorance. There is knowledge.
There is no passion. There is serenity.  There is no chaos. There is harmony.
There is no death. There is the force.

Code of the Sith

Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength.

I think I read somewhere that the code of the old Jedi was this:

Emotion, yet peace.

Ignorance, yet knowledge.

Passion, yet serenity.

Chaos, yet harmony.

Death, yet the Force.

And I always liked it better, because I think it’s more balanced. It’s acknowledging both sides of the equation, two sides of the same coin. Instead of plugging their ears and denying these things outright, they acknowledged them and allowed them to exist, so as to better triumph over them. What is knowledge without ignorance, harmony without chaos? Darkness without light? It’s nothing.

Death, yet the Force.

I thought for a second if I should reblog this or not..but.. It’s actually a interesting way to look at things from a different perspective because there are still people out there who just dont get it and people who actually do go through this.  This though…, goes for more than just being any kind of sexuality. People get bullied every day for being different whether it be sexuality, gender, race, religion or just about anything.  It’s really really sad.
